Projects and runs
A project collects runs. Its page compares them. Open a run to chart it, change it, and read what happened.
The project page
The page is a set of charts beside the list of runs. Each chart is one metric. Tick a run to draw it. Hide all takes every run off the charts. Charts chooses which metrics are drawn. Line up places runs that share an event on the same zero, the step where each run recorded that event.
The page draws a limited number of runs at once and says when you are at that limit. The number is on Limits. A chart is left out when none of the shown runs logged that metric, and the page names it.
The project id is on the page. A key limited to this project needs that id as LAUNCHHELM_PROJECT.
A run shows Live while one of its processes is still checking in. Finished means a session ended because the run finished. Stopped means nothing is checking in and the run is still open. Closed means the run was closed.
The run page
Open a run from the list. The tab bar leads with the run's charts — Charts, or a name you gave that page — then four tabs:
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Controls | Send a command the run declared. The form shows the input, whether the change needs approval, and other unfinished changes in the same domain. |
| Activity | Recent changes and controls for this run. Logged metrics stay on the charts. |
| Captures | Summaries of model tensors taken at a step. See PyTorch. |
| Details | Configuration, processes, conversations with the assistant, and artifacts. Download an artifact here and compare its digest. |
Under the project
- Investigations — a question about the project's runs, the hypotheses that might answer it, and the captures and changes that bear on them.
- Saved queries and Dashboards — a dashboard lays out panels over streams and runs. To share the project, share a dashboard of it. A public link shows that dashboard and what it reads.
- Who approves changes — which controls need a second person. See Concepts.
